Life in the outdoors began long before Josh was able to walk. Born and reared in the woods of Maine, he has an intrinsic relationship with the natural world. As a child, he would slip into the canoe in calm morning waters to cast a line with whichever family member was willing. When not fishing, he could be found atop mountains through the Northern Appalachians.
Once Josh was old enough to understand the spirituality associated with a deliberately “outdoor” lifestyle, he made this a keystone in his everyday life. After several years hunting and fishing in the Mid Atlantic, Josh returned home to his native land in the North Country. Here, he continues to thrive on clear landlocked waterways and under the pine tree canopies.
